         Solid keep their shape as the particles do not change position

    Liquid can change their shape as the particles are able to slide past each other

    Gasses can have any shape as particles move stay away from each other

 

         A gas condenses into liquid when it is cooled.

        A liquid freezes into a solid when it is cooled

        A liquid evaporates into a gas when it is heated.
